Carte Blanche II Demo Projects - page 3
srkh28@gmail.com
These pages 1-7 include example projects for experimentation with CBII, composed in Altium Designer 10 and/or Xilinx ISE12. Included are ported projects from the original CBI and peripherals, some new projects created to test CBII's capabilities and other general projects ported for experimental purposes. Please note these projects are works in progress and may have errors. If you're in a position to solve any bugs I would be very happy to include your solutions in these pages.

Note: .UCF and .BIT are included in the .ZIP of the downloadable AD project along with all the files required to compile using Altium Designer, as well as any source files used in creating/porting the project. All files required for porting to a different environment such as Xilinx ISE are supplied in the .ZIP.

All games are playable and interface to the Apple II keyboard. Keys are: A (up), Z (down), <-- (left), --> (right), X (jump/fire), C (coin), 1 (1 Player Start).
This Altium based demo utilises a softcore CPU, SDRAM memory and a soft terminal for displaying progress results. The demo tests Transflash and uSD cards in SDHC mode for identifying, initializing, mounting and writing an example file to the card.

A vintage NBI demo, this VGA/SVGA design ported to CBII demonstrates an all logic design of a mock up Windows system. This design may be configured for either 640x480 or 800x600 operation and provides a display on all three CBII video interfaces.

This design uses an Altium softcore processor and memory controller to interface a MT48LC16M16A2 32MB SDRAM. The soft terminal provides feedback on the memory test progress where the full 32MB is written to, and then read back and compared.

This Open Bus design uses a walking ones test to analyse a K6R4016V1D 512KB SRAM using an Altium soft core CPU and memory controller. It also uses a soft instrument and an LL10000 LED light bar to show test progress and a pass/fail status.
